Colleen is a Licensed Social Worker. She received her Bachelor of Arts in English degree from Caldwell University. She spent a good portion of her career administering residential programming for the developmentally disabled population. However, Colleen felt the need to take her career in a direction where she could work more directly with the people she served. She received her Master’s Degree in Social Work. Colleen’s initial therapeutic goal is to build rapport. Afterward, she utilizes evidence-based modalities such as Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. Colleen also employs a strengths-based practice, emphasizing resilience and resourcefulness when dealing with adversity.
