According to Pew Research, 44% of residents in the city know someone with an opioid substance use disorder, 34% know an overdose victim, and 47% report negative community impact. The River Wards neighborhood is especially impacted.

With the right approach, you can manage substance abuse and mental illness, regain your life, and be a positive contributor to your city.
Our Comprehensive Programs
BlueCrest Recovery is a recommended addiction recovery facility in New Jersey, providing a comprehensive, holistic approach that addresses the underlying issues of addiction and ensures long-term success rates. Here’s what our recovery process looks like.
Admissions Process
Our admissions process includes a complete assessment of client needs. We consider medical and drug use history, and our client’s home environments, and use this information to create a compassionate care plan that addresses individualized needs.
Detox
The first step involves a dry-out period, in which clients allow their bodies to adjust to sobriety. They often experience withdrawal symptoms, but we aim to ensure optimal comfort. Our nursing team will oversee the process to keep clients safe and ensure relapse doesn’t occur. Although medications may be implemented, we don’t use them as a default treatment.
Therapy
After the initial detox is complete, clients undergo therapy, addressing mental health issues that may have led to addiction, and determining coping strategies. Our specialists conduct a careful assessment of each client, providing specialized treatment which may include family therapy, individual therapy, and 12-step support groups. Clients may choose from various outpatient programs, including intensive outpatient and standard outpatient care, before moving to aftercare.
Aftercare
Once clients complete our treatment programs, we continue to provide guidance to ensure a lasting recovery. We recommend holistic therapies that support a healthy lifestyle. Our staff recommends guidelines for exercise and nutrition, family support, healthy habits, positive social activities, music therapy, and ongoing behavioral health counseling.
Will BlueCrest Take My PA Insurance?
We understand addiction services can be expensive, and you may be concerned about coverage at our New Jersey facility. BlueCrest operates as an out-of-network provider and does not accept Medicaid. Our team can help you understand your out-of-network benefits with major private insurance companies, as many plans offer coverage for out-of-state treatment. We also offer payment plans for those without insurance or with limited coverage.
Transportation Options
Transportation is another concern, as the commute can be stressful and expensive. We can help out in this capacity as well. Our drivers offer door-to-door service, picking you up at your home, taking you to our facility, and back. We can also arrange bus, plane, and train travel for clients who are a bit farther from our facility.

FAQ
Intensive outpatient programs involve clients attending structured treatment sessions multiple days per week, typically 9-12+ hours weekly, while returning home each evening. Standard outpatient services require fewer hours per week, usually 1-6 hours, allowing clients greater flexibility to maintain work, family, and other responsibilities. Intensive outpatient care provides more comprehensive clinical support for clients requiring higher levels of structure, while standard outpatient care offers maintenance-level support as clients progress in their recovery journey.
