Kim is a social justice attorney at heart who is deeply committed to criminal justice reform. Kim received a Bachelor’s degree from Drew University and a law degree from the City University of New York (CUNY). She began her law career as a criminal defense attorney in Bergen County. It was during this time Kim noticed how many of her clients were battling addiction, and how addiction was treated in the courts as a criminal issue rather than a public health one. Kim eventually joined the New Jersey Reentry Corporation (NJRC), a workforce development agency for people with criminal records. In addition to directing NJRC’s Newark and Hackensack sites, she also represented their clients in Municipal Court through NJRC’s innovative legal program, helping dozens of people to restore their driving privileges. Kim now joins Bluecrest as a Case Manager.
