I began my career in the Substance Use Disorder (SUD) field in 2008 as a Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) at the very facility where I had graduated. Within just 10 months, my dedication and commitment to helping others led to my promotion to Assistant Director of Residential Services.
From there, I expanded my experience into the private insurance and healthcare financial side of the industry, gaining valuable knowledge in case management, patient accounts, insurance verification, and collections. Throughout these roles, I have remained focused on building meaningful relationships with clients and their families while serving as a liaison to ensure their needs are understood and addressed.
At BlueCrest, I initially joined the team as a Case Manager in the detox program, reporting directly to the President of Business Development. In January, I transitioned into Patient Accounts, where I work closely with clients regarding deductibles and out-of-pocket costs while continuing to prioritize communication, compassion, and client relationships.
In my current role, I report to the CFO, an experience that has significantly expanded my knowledge of health insurance, benefits, policies, and the complexities of navigating different insurance plans. My career has allowed me to develop a unique understanding of the SUD field from multiple perspectives—from direct client care and residential services to case management, insurance, and financial operations.
What has remained consistent throughout my career is my commitment to helping people navigate what can often be an overwhelming and difficult process. I take pride in combining my industry knowledge with empathy and a client-centered approach to make sure individuals and their families feel supported every step of the way.
