Ashley began her journey in the mental health field when she was just a senior in high school having taken an internship as a Behavioral Assistant for children with autism. It was from there that she knew she wanted to work with disadvantaged populations. Ashley attended Rutgers University in New Brunswick where she pursed a bachelor’s degree in psychology. While there, she volunteered for the Petey Greene Program, a nonprofit organization established to help incarcerated individuals pursue their high school diplomas and GED’s while serving their prison terms. Through her tutoring work with the program, Ashley grew passionate about helping those who had given up on themselves. Today, as BlueCrest’s Administrative Assistant, Ashley has found a place where she can use her experiences assisting others and apply them in the recovery field. She hopes to one day grow into a more clinically based role as BlueCrest itself grows more and more each day. In Ashley’s free time she enjoys playing and coaching softball and volunteering with her local dog rescue.
