Visualization for Optum rehab insuranceWhen you need help with a substance use disorder, figuring out how to pay for treatment can be an obstacle. For those with Optum rehab insurance coverage, this barrier to recovery can be easily overcome. Paying for rehab with Optum is as simple as contacting the BlueCrest Recovery team at 888.292.9652 and learning about the insurance we accept.

The Challenges of Achieving Sobriety

The road to recovery is filled with obstacles. People with substance use disorders face physical withdrawal symptoms, pervasive and invasive drug or alcohol cravings, challenging behavior patterns, and social pressures that make it difficult to break free from addiction.

Addiction treatment is designed to help people overcome these challenges through evidence-based treatment methods and therapies. The following treatments have been proven to help people achieve recovery:

  • Cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT)
  • Motivational enhancement therapy (MET)
  • Medication-assisted treatment (MAT)
  • Relapse prevention programs

Yet perhaps the most significant barrier for many people is how to pay for these treatment services. This financial barrier bars thousands of people from getting the help they need and leaves many people continuing to struggle with substance use disorders.

Thankfully, Optum rehab insurance coverage can help eliminate this barrier. After the Affordable Care Act was passed into law, all major insurance providers were required to provide coverage for addiction and mental health treatment services.

How Your Optum Rehab Insurance Coverage Can Help

Optum rehab insurance is designed to help people overcome the initial financial barrier of achieving recovery. Depending on your specific insurance plan, your Optum insurance can cover some or all of your addiction treatment costs and help you get the evidence-based services required to achieve lasting recovery.

If you’re wondering whether your insurance covers treatment, you have two options for determining your eligibility. The first is to call BlueCrest Recovery directly. Our team can verify your insurance, explain the different treatment options that can be covered, and get you started on the road to recovery. The second option is to call your insurance provider directly. The Optum insurance number is on the back of your insurance card, which puts you in contact with an insurance agent who can explain your benefits in detail.

Paying for Rehab with Optum

Paying for rehab with Optum is relatively simple. After verifying your insurance with BlueCrest Recovery and enrolling in a treatment program, services are billed to your insurance. But depending on your level of insurance coverage, you may still receive some fees you must pay.

The first fee is known as your deductible. Your deductible is an amount you must pay out-of-pocket before insurance starts to cover the bill. After meeting your deductible, you may still need to pay a coinsurance amount until your out-of-pocket maximum is reached.

Once you reach your out-of-pocket maximum, which includes any fees that you’ve paid for medical expenses over the last year, the remainder of your treatment costs will be covered in full by your insurance provider.
