Marie-Alice Stout, affectionately known as Macs, is a Bergen County native and had served as a Recovery Specialist for the ‘Opioid Overdose Recovery Program’ of Bergen County’s Recovery Support Services. She is also a Nationally Certified Peer Recovery Support Specialist. She earned a Bachelor degree from William Paterson University and her Master’s in Social Work from Fordham University. Macs does an incredible amount of community work in the fight against addiction, speaking at schools and working with local police departments to help increase awareness for both children and families with programs such as Operation Helping Hands through the Bergen County Prosecutor’s office and the HART (Heroin Addiction Recovery Team) Program. She is currently a Licensed Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor, Certified Reiki Practitioner at BlueCrest and assists in much of our programming activities for our entire community.
