After fighting his own battle against drugs and alcohol for more than a decade, Matt finally surrendered and sought help. His path into the recovery field began more than 2 years ago in Southern California where he worked as a Behavioral Health Technician, Life Skills Coach and Sober Living House Manager.
With a strong foundation in recovery, Matt decided to move back to his home state to help others struggling with the disease of addiction and worked at a long-term inpatient facility before joining the team at BlueCrest Recovery Center. He is passionate about motivating others to achieve sobriety through conveying his own personal experiences in recovery. Matt is currently pursuing his Certification to become an Alcohol and Drug Counselor and plans to continue his education in the field of treatment and counseling. In his down time, Matt enjoys hiking and exploring the outdoors, playing music and woodworking.
