Mark is dedicated to building a strong therapeutic relationship with all clients. He believes that being empathetic and attentive to needs while setting and maintaining clear boundaries is imperative for recovery and personal growth. Working from a strengths-based, solution-focused perspective, Mark seeks to empower clients by incorporating Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectal Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Motivational Interviewing into his practice. He strongly advocates that clients utilize intrapersonal skills and family and social supports for recovery, including active and ongoing participation in 12-step programs. Mark also believes that spirituality and helping others are indispensable components to ongoing, meaningful recovery.
Mark also has a passion for working with families of loved ones suffering from addiction and alcoholism. He has a strong foundation in family counseling, organizing and overseeing family programs, and is currently the co-facilitator of BlueCrest Recovery’s weekly Family Night. Mark says that, “the only thing more rewarding than watching someone heal is watching an entire family heal.”
