K.C. holds a B.A. in Psychology from the California State University at Northridge and a Masters Degree in Clinical Social Work from New York University. K.C. has been working on and off in the field of addiction and substance use since 2009. Since then, he has gained substantial experience working in in-patient, outpatient, and PCP levels of care for substance users. Additionally K.C. has garnered experience working as a psychotherapist addressing issues of depression, anxiety, panic disorder, grief & bereavement, and existential issues.
K.C. is committed to building a strong therapeutic relationship with his clients by being empathically attuned to their needs. K.C. utilizes an Existential-Humanistic, Interpersonal, Cognitive-Behavioral and Motivational Interviewing approach to help remove clients obstacles that prevent personal growth and inner transformation. He is also a large advocate of 12-step recovery programs that offer a channel for spirituality and a community of individuals to support the on-going growth of the individual.
