Meg Zarnick has found her life’s work in helping others recover from difficult circumstances. While raising two children, she worked in a variety of health-related institutions, including the Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation and Synergy Physical Therapy. In 2011, she enrolled at Rutgers University to earn a Master’s degree in Social Work with a concentration in Clinical Social Work. During her studies, Meg undertook internships at the Mental Health Association of Morris County and the Family Service Bureau of Newark, where she continued to work as a NJ Hope and Healing Counselor after her graduation.
Meg is dual licensed as a Clinical Social Worker and Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor, the field she has worked in for the last five years as a Co-Occurring Clinician at St. Clare’s Hospital. She is skilled in working with clients that suffer from both mental health issues and addiction. Meg enjoys preparing and implementing individualized treatment plans as well as facilitating group therapy sessions. She has developed various creative tools and approaches that suit each client’s needs. Meg is recognized for her supportive approach, while at the same she encourages self-discipline and personal responsibility for life choices.
Meg is pleased to join the Blue Crest Recovery Center team and begin working with her clients.
